Everyone will agree the business world has changed dramatically with the introduction of the amazing Smartphone and Social Media. Zantini Menswear got on the band wagon over 12 months ago. You may ask has it been successful for us? And more importantly how could it help you?
Twitter - ZM Twitter
Twitter is a great and simple tool. The search facility is very powerful. For example, if you want to look for a suit for your wedding, put the question out here and you will see who responds. You can use the # (hash tag) to search specific topic also. As you are limited to only a few lines you are not bombarded with too much to read. There are some great icons to follow also and you can read what they have to say on your favourite topics. Here are my top three sites I follow on Twitter:

- @MensHealthStyle – Your ultimate guide to men’s fashion, style and grooming
- @westfieldsyd – Westfield shopping mall, always great deals and tips
Facebook - ZM Facebook
Facebook, as you know, has grown and helped bring together friends and family around the world. We introduced a fan page which helps us document our products, advise you, and give you dress tips. You go to our site, Facebook.com/zantinimenswear. Click on the LIKE button and you will be kept up to date with what is going on at our store. The best thing about Facebook is that you can interact with your favourite stores or products, ask questions and get instant replies. If you have any queries on outfits you are wearing for a function, take a picture, post it on our site and we will instantly respond and give you our advice. Interaction with customers is key to us, even over the weekend. Last weekend, I was at a wedding and a customer got in touch with me over Facebook asking what to wear to a wedding he was going to. I got THE look from my wife to put my phone down as we were at a wedding ourselves (she is always telling me off and to put my phone away). The funny thing is I enjoy it. I enjoy interacting with customers and if I can help instantly I will. I nipped to the bar and carried on answering my customer’s question. Blog - ZM Blog
We introduced our blog over 18 months ago with videos and advice to our customers. This was linked to Twitter, Linked in and Facebook. It is the central part of all our social media streams. Everything is posted on here first and then is linked to the other social media streams. You can also shop online and see what new arrivals have come in.
Pinterest - ZM Pinterest
Pinterst is like a massive notice board. You have all heard the saying that a picture says a 1000 words – well for us this is a great tool. Any new products, new fashions, things we think can be helpful to you, videos etc we will put on Pinterest. Have a look http://pinterest.com/zantinimenswear/. I think it is going to grow extensively over the next year or so, especially for our business. As Pinterest is mainly pictures and videos, you can search and quickly view what you like and are interested in. If you are fond of a product or video tip of ours, you can re pin on your notice board and then your followers will also see what you are interested in. The ones I find interesting (besides fashion of course) are recipes and DIY tips. Some great boards to follow are:

YouTube - ZM You Tube - creating our videos and giving out tips has been a bit of fun. If I could gather them up, some of the bloopers are hilarious. The videos we post on YouTube give you three minute tips on dress styles or problems you may come across when you are buying clothes. The beauty about the video is you can watch it on your phone or computer anytime. They are simple to search and find online.

I know when I started using Facebook, people laughed at me. But look how much it has grown. It helps me keep in touch with friends and family back in the UK and also helps me interact with my customers here in Sydney. Who knows where it will take us – we are on an exciting journey! We continue to use every social media channel we think will benefit our customers and your experience with us.

How to tie a Scarf Knot
Winter is kicking in, and a popular item of clothing over the last few winters has been a scarf. A scarf is a great accessory to wear with your suit jacket, casual jacket or just under your overcoat. But most importantly it will keep the chill off your neck and chest.
There are a variety of fabrics you can have in a scarf, with most common being acrylic or wool.
I am often asked how to go about tying a scarf knot. You may be surprised to know there are a few options, so here is a video covering some of the common ones.
