Strut your stuff with some new Shoes
H’s Dress Tip
- When you are trying on shoes don’t just go by the size you think you are. Always try one size bigger or smaller and take a little walk in the store. If the shoes are slipping off your heel then they are too big.
- If you have a wide foot, don’t try to squash it in – make sure you really are comfortable. I have a wide foot and need a wider shoe.
- Remember natural fabrics like leather will soften and stretch. You will need a week or so of walking to get them comfortable.
- I spend all day on my feet so I prefer a slip on shoe, rather than a lace-up.
- If you walk to work or walk quite far to the train station or bus stop, buy a black or casual shoe to walk in. This will make your work shoes last longer.
- Get some inner soles from the Shoe repairer, they will make you inner sole more softer to walk on.
A Q for you

Brighten up a Dark wardrobe this summer
- Spring is a great time to try and test a new colour suit. Shades of Grey are very popular this spring
- If you are off to the races, remember you don’t want to dress as if you are going to work. Go wild and try something new.
- Checks, checks and more checks…I’ve a feeling checks are IN this season
- It took me a while but I now own a few slim ties, and I must say they look rather smart. Give one a go, but remember your suit must also be slim fitting.
A Q for you
- What colour suit would you like to wear but are not confident enough to do so?
- Do you have a slim tie from the 70′s?
- Have you got your outfit ready for Melbourne Cup Day?

Suits @ Zantini Menswear
Tweet: do you have the suits in your store made by a tailor you know? Or are they a particular brand? Do you do bespoke?
Reply: I am very specific in the type of suits we carry at Zantini Menswear. I spend many months with my suppliers to get the fit, cut and fabric correct before it hits my store.
The buying process for a suit starts up to 12 months in advance. We only carry small quantities of each fabric so I need to be correct with what I buy. The reason we carry small quantities is to offer exclusivity to our customers plus you will always see something different every time you come in to ZM.
Fabrics are sourced from Europe or New Zealand. These are then sent to China / New Zealand to be made up. Our Suits arrive direct to our store via Melbourne after under going a Quality Control process.
We have a specialized and an exclusive tailor in Sydney who can alter our suits to fit the customer. Please note he is not an alteration service he is a professional tailor. There is a difference. He makes suits for a living so he knows how they should be constructed and altered to fit correctly.
Our brands are exclusive to us, we specialize in 2 Trousers Suits to offer the customer a longer lasting suit but also value for money.
Our brands @ ZM
- Boston – 2 trousers, pure new wool.
- Verizon – 2 trousers, super 100′s.
- Gibson – 1 or 2 trouser, super slim fit, super 100′s.
- Cambridge & Co – 2 trousers, super 100′s.
- Jeremy Strauss - 2 trousers, merino wool, made in New Zealand.
We don’t offer bespoke as manufacturing in Australia has become very costly and we believe we can fit most people who come into our store with what we carry at ZM.
